AEW’s new show, Collision, is coming on June 17th, and fans are waiting to see if AEW can sustain a viewership on Saturday nights. They will already be preempted for several weeks out of the year for TNT Sports, but it seems ticket sales are also an issue.
Wrestletix dropped a graphic of AEW Collision’s ticket sales so far. As you can see, they are not doing a great job getting fans to that show, despite CM Punk.
The Collision debut episode has almost 9,000 tickets sold for their Chicago show. That episode will also see CM Punk return to the ring for a six-man tag team match. The episode after that hasn’t even sold 2k tickets for the show.
The most that AEW has sold for any Collision so far, other than their Chicago show, is their upcoming event in Newark, New Jersey. They have unloaded just below 5k for that episode.
We will have to see how AEW Collision ranks in the ratings. It seems that they are having a bit of trouble getting fans to even buy tickets for the shows.
What’s your take on AEW Collision? Does AEW even need another show? Sound off in the comments!
