So, what happened to the former reality television star? Why is he facing jail time? We will bring everything about Scott in this wiki like a biography.

Who is Scott Meisterheim?

Scott Meisterheim is a carpenter, a former deckhand & boat captain, and a reality television actor. He rose to fame following his appearance in the reality TV series, Bering Sea Gold. Scott played the role of the villain in the series and did display displeasure as to how he was portrayed in the series. He was often involved in confrontations with the cast as well as the members of the production crew.

Early Life:

Scott Meisterheim was born on the 8th of July 1968 in the U.S. Born under the Cancer zodiac sign, Scott comes from humble beginnings. Little is known about Scott’s early life other than the fact he grew up alongside his brother. Way before Scott decided to venture into the sea, he worked as a carpenter & a builder in Alaska. He later moved to the oil industry before heading toward the Bering Sea in search of gold.

Bering Sea Gold:

Scott Meisterheim was the first name on the list when plans for the reality TV series Bering Sea Gold were drawn. One of the most talented miners in business, Scott was assigned to the Wild Ranger. He captained the ship in the first season but moved to Anchor Management during the second season. He captained Anchor Management with the help of his best friend Todd Allen. However, things took a bad turn for Scott and Todd when Todd left the show mid-way through the season. Todd cited Scott’s drinking problem as a reason for leaving the show. As a result, Scott was checked into rehab and he spent the remaining of the season in rehab.

A bad turn:

Ever since Todd left the series during the second season, he had been on bad terms with the producers. Even while working on the series, Todd was constantly at the throat of his fellow cast members and would often fight with the crewmen. One of the most notable incidents of Scott’s temper was when he got in a fight with a fellow captain, Veron Adkison. As a result, Scott was viewed as a nuance by the cast and crew. His drinking habit added further problems and the series had no choice but to let Scott go.

However, according to Scott’s manager, his departure from the show was unrelated to his personality. And went on to open that network had already aired what they wanted of Scott’s story.

Showrunners never gave an official explanation behind his abrupt exit. But it was clear from the beginning better things were expected of Scott as he was given a five-year contract worth $160,000 a year. Scott only appeared for three years from 2012 to 2014 before getting fired at the end of season three.

Scott has been charged with a number of felonies over the years, and to make things worse, recently a sexual assault and domestic violence case has been filed by his wife.

However, once he joined the reality TV show “Bering Sea Gold,” the star was on time to pay child support. In 2013 his ex-wife lost her job and was making minimum wages. In 2015, Scott Meisterheim was charged with one count each of failing to pay child support and desertion/ abandonment/ non-support. The charges originated from child support of $21,000, which Meisterheim owed his ex-wife for the care of their 17-year-old daughter. The warrant was issued by the court after Scott failed to pay the promised amount even after being in direct contact with the police. An official statement on the case read,
