American indie rock band Japanese Breakfast has bagged their first Grammy nomination.
The band led by Korean-American musician Michelle Zauner has grabbed two nominations at the 64th Academy Awards, which were announced on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
Japanese Breakfast’s third studio album “Jubilee,” released in 2021, got them listed in two categories; “Best Alternative Music Album” and “Best New Artist.”
The “Best Alternative Music Album” category features “Shore” by Fleet Foxes, “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power” by Halsey, “Collapsed in Sunbeams” by Arlo Parks and “Daddy’s Home” by St. Vincent.
They were also listed in the “Best New Artist” alongside Arooj Aftab, Jimmie Allen, Baby Keem, Finneas, Glass Animals, The Kid Laroi, Arlo Parks, Olivia Rodrigo and Saweetie.
