Ashley married a rich and goodlooking man who looks stable. Good for her. Mary Kate seems to have more issues. She looks sickly and she was with some much older ugly guy and I think married him too.

Their brand (the Row?) used to feature crazy expensive things, simple designs but composed freakishly expensive materials and available in small batches.

The normal one is their sister Elizabeth Olsen. She looks like a happier, well-nourished version of them.

Huge credit to both twins though for switching to design in their early 20s and never looking back. They aren’t attention whores, are successful with this high fashion shit, seem to have a solid group of friends and have remained very close. They also seem to work hard even though they are wealthy enough to sit around doing nothing. Sure they look anorexic and one of them was married to an old French man, but not bad considering their childhood.

During the height of Mary-Kate's eating disorder, I remember some tabloid photo of her eating a bite of food and the caption was "Yum-Yum Eat 'Em Up, Mary-Kate." I don't know why but I laughed and laughed until I felt bad for laughing.

One of my favorite headlines posted at DL was when Mary-Kate married the baggy-eyed, skeevy-looking Olivier Sárközy: "Olsen Twin Marries her Captor." Since then she seems to have extricated herself, though.

I genuinely respect them and their parents were smart ones in protecting their assets and instilling good work ethic. They weren't really exploited like others. Granted they were overworked and I think the pressure of stardom and overexposure at a young age created a host of issues with neuroticism like OCD and anorexia. I also think they are both genuinely introverted people who didn't want to act but did it out of duty for their parents. Once they turned 18 they quit. Mary Kate seems more artistically inclined and returned to acting for a few years. Ashley seems more business savvy. I don't like they underpaid their workers and interns though but so many rich famous designers do that shit.

Hilary Duff, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Frankie Muniz, Raven Symone and Zendaya we're others with decent parents and they're not broke or drugged out hoes. Sure they have issues but compared to the Lindsays, Shias, Orlandos, Bellas and Demis, they are normal.

R34 My unpopular take. They always had big bug eyes and sorta resembled monkeys. They weren't really cute kids to me. Jodie Sweetin as a little girl was adorable. Tahj Money and Jurnee Smollett who played Michelle's friends were adorable. But the Olsens were pretty and stylish as they got to their teen years. Unfortunately that window was small because the anorexia and coke did a number on them. I think their parents still did a better job in protecting the twins and their money compared to Aaron Carter or Macaulay Culkin's parents.

Wow! When was that photo at R38 taken? I didn’t realize they were ever at normal weights post puberty. I have to admit, I think a lot of overly thin women have faces that actually look better when they are very thin. But the Olsen twins look MUCH better with some weight.

90s and early aughts kids will remember when Mary-Kate and Ashley were extremely overexposed. They had direct-to-video movies out everywhere, theatrical movies released, various books, albums, dolls, kids fashion, board games, perfume and video games and after Full House, a couple of sitcoms and cartoons where they play fictional version of themselves. People really underestimate how much money they pulled in from their child star days, they had so many streams of revenue. They really paved the way for future tween idols like Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Raven Symone, Jamie Lynn Spears, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez in the level of multimedia marketing attributed to their names. Influencers then copied that with the constant shilling and endorsements as well.

And yes they were considered attractive in their teen years and early 20s and had very good fashion especially for that period. Elizabeth Olsen looks like how they used to look like.
